Why do I need an email address to sign up?

The email address is used to ensure your email address is valid and correct. This is important because we need to email you with:

• The setup details once the account has been created.
• Any quota warnings should you get close to or reach your monthly message quotas.
• Username / password reminders if you should lose or forget them!

The email address you supply when you first sign up is not the only email address you can use to 'send' mail using the service - see here for more details.
