The From name and address should match the identity recipients saw at signup and in earlier messages. A sudden change may make a genuine campaign look like phishing, especially when the new domain has no established history.
Keep recognition consistent
- Assign a stable sender to each established message purpose.
- Use a monitored reply route.
- Keep SPF, DKIM and DMARC aligned.
- Tell recipients before a necessary identity change.
- Introduce a new domain gradually rather than switching at full volume.
You may invite recipients to add the address to their contacts, particularly during welcome messages, but this does not replace authentication or responsible sending. Provider and organisational filters may still apply.
Keep each message stream on a stable, authenticated and monitored sender identity.
Inventory active From names and addresses, consolidate unexplained variations and document an owner for each remaining identity.
